On a board of the second satellite, a television system was transmitting images of the four-legged "cosmonauts" Belka and Strelka to the Earth. These images were recorded on film. Scientists were able to observe changes in the behavior and well-being of dogs, while simultaneously receiving indicators using a telemetric system about their pulse and breathing.
